ASPIRE President

 

Ryan Ross is a polished, poised, and accomplished transformational educational leader demonstrating these skills everyday as the youngest Administrator and member of the Student and Enrollment Services leadership team at the Community College of Denver. At CCD Ryan serves as the Executive Director of the Educational Opportunity and Talent Search Programs.

A certified career and education development facilitator Ryan is certified in administering several career and personality assessments and in the middle of writing his first book; Who’s Sitting at Your Round Table: A Guide to positive Networking.

Ryan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Nebraska Wesleyan University and a Masters of Education degree in Organizational Performance and Change from Colorado State University. Currently Ryan is a doctoral candidate in the Educational Leadership and Innovation program at the University of Colorado Denver.

Ryan is the president and founder of Stirred Up Enterprises, a motivational speaking and educational services boutique that provides innovative educational consulting, coaching, and workshops on working with diverse populations, leadership, networking, and self actualization.

As a professional speaker Ryan’s 50+ engagements to date include the Piton Foundation, College Summit, Qwest, Jack and Jill of America Colorado chapter, The Council for Opportunity in Education, The University of Colorado Denver, CESDA, King Baptist Church, The Mayors Office on Workforce Development, Arapahoe Community College, The Community College of Aurora, and Gilliam Youth Services.

Ryan’s passions are grounded in family, education and community outreach. He is the Director of the Kappa League program, a leadership development program of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity Inc, focusing on urban males, serves as the CO Chair of the Colorado Black Chamber of Commerce Foundation Chamber Connect Leadership program, and has begun a character counts initiative with Gilliam Youth Services. He serves on several boards for non-profit organizations including Byrne Urban Scholars: a program designed to give inner city youth the opportunity to attend private college preparatory high schools; The Pirate Youth Football Organization: an organization focused on teaching integrity, character, and education through athletics, ASPIRE: a program that provides support, professional development, and advocacy for federal educational access program employees, and has recently accepted a mayoral appointment to the Denver Parks and recreation board.

Ryan’s proudest moments include joining Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., playing a key role in establishing, the Junetenth celebration as an official holiday in Lincoln, NE, and marrying Simone Daniel, the Love of his life.
